Thursday night at Parramatta Lanes is bursting with flavour, sound and spectacle. From aerial performances and Afro beats to AI tarot readings and silent discos, the city transforms into a vibrant playground. Here's your guide to what’s on and where to find it.

Parramatta Lanes is taking over the city, so expect road and car park closures and transport updates. We recommend skipping the traffic and catching the train to Parramatta Station or hopping off the light rail at Prince Alfred Square or Parramatta Square to be in the heart of the action. Find everything you need to know here.

1. Parramatta Square

Eats

The Boodle Fight returns with two sessions of communal Filipino feasting: 6pm - 7:30pm and 8pm - 9:30pm. Bookings are essential.

  • Refresh at the Hydralyte Hydration Station
  • Explore digital artworks inside PHIVE

Food stalls include: Mix Mix Co, Hoy Pinoy, Ceylonia, Sol Bowl, Kampung Laksa, Nautanki Sala, Ten Thirty One Co.

  • K-Pop Random Dance Play: 5:30–6:30pm
  • Ascend by Legs On The Wall – aerial dance performance at 5:45pm, 7:45pm and 9pm
  • Karaoke by CLIPPED – 7pm
  • K-Pop Group, D#Orchestra, all the way from Korea will be performing at 8pm

2. Town Hall

Eats

Terrazza Aperol in the forecourt is the perfect spot to relax, enjoy a drink, and watch Ascend. You can also enter to win a trip to Italy.

3. Beatdisc Lane & St John’s Lawn

Beatdisc Lane will be buzzing with independent music curated by local legends Beatdisc Records.

  • Goethe: 8pm - 8:40pm
  • Convulsing: 9:15pm - 9:55pm

While you’re in the area, head to nearby St John’s Lawn, to see Summer Kim, a 4-metre-tall inflatable artwork by Haein Kim. 

You’ll also find a variety of food vendors including Koi Dessert Kitchen, Natas & Co, Dolce Aroma, Macau Sweet Street Bites, Teppanyaki Noodles, Japanese Pizza Okonomiyaki, Cholito Empanadas, Satay Brothers, Eden Garden Clubhouse and Mrs Wang’s Dumplings.

4. Cent Square

Centenary Square will be buzzing with energy thanks to a DJ takeover by Bypass x Duty Free, running from 5pm to 10pm.

Stop by to enjoy Fritz’s Weiners, Agape, The Pharoah BBQ, Rolling Schnitzel, Smoky Cravings, Tebu Sugarcane Juice, Clayton’s World Tour, Madiba’s Kitchen

5. Leigh Memorial Car Park

Leigh Memorial Car Park transforms into a Western-style hangout with smoky BBQ, hay bales and a rotating music lineup.

Eats

Food vendors include Mary’s Burgers, Black Bear BBQ, Carolina Smoke and The Leigh Bar. 

You can also explore nearby Macquarie Street for more eats, including Let’s Do Yum Cha, Little Tokyo, Mochii Mochii, El’s Fried Chicken, Tokyo Taco and Mate Pinoy.

6. 211 Church Street

Step into a hidden world at 211 Church Street, inspired by the French Quarter.

Enjoy food and drinks from Church Street Bar by Aperol Spritz, Bianco, Stroop Brother, Shortys, Antico Wood-fired Pizza and Mr Puff Loukoumades.

Beats

The Sydney Conservatorium will provide the soundtrack for the evening with a jazz lineup that brings smooth, ambient vibes to the space.

7. George Street

George Street comes alive with Africulture Night, a celebration of Afro beats, dance and culture.

The Africulture program runs from 5pm to 10pm and features a powerful lineup of artists and performers.

NYC’s bodega icon Rahim "The Ocky Way" Mohammad turns deli food into viral art with his over-the-top sandwich style. 

While you’re there, grab a bite from Smash My Buns, The Big Big Aloha, Brother Jackon & Co, Caminito Italian Street Food or Spudlife. You’ll also find the Hydralyte Hydration Station nearby.

8. Mystic Rising at Civic Arcade

Mystic Rising offers a moment of calm in the middle of the Lanes. Step into this immersive chill zone and experience AI tarot readings, custom poetry, and soul-soothing tea from Sophron Notes.

Beats

The Sydney Conservatorium will also present Bangkok Waterscapes, a soundscape performance that blends music with meditative energy.

9. Powerhouse Lane

Eats

Powerhouse Lane will be serving up bold global flavours from Masala Kitchen, Taste of Sierra Leone, Saigon Birria, Lugaw Queen, Mama Sela’s Polynesian Treats and Sangee’s Kitchen.

Beats

Thursday’s music program is curated by Powerhouse Generations, spotlighting emerging and established artists from Western Sydney and beyond. The lineup includes:

  • Mowgli May – genre-blending beats and boundary-pushing sound
  • FRIDAY* – soulful vocals and smooth R&B textures
  • Sollyy – high-energy hip hop with a local edge
  • Dyan Tai – theatrical pop and queer Asian excellence

Art

The precinct will also feature the Powerhouse Generations music program and artwork by Emma Pham.

10. Eat Street Car Park

Eat Street Car Park becomes a multi-level playground of food, music and art.

Eats

On the Ground Level, you’ll find a wide range of eats. On Level 1, don’t miss the Black Light Dessert Lab, a UV-lit sugar-fuelled experience. Level 2 and the Rooftop continue the party with even more food and immersive art.

Beats

The entertainment includes Saddle Club Line Dancing at 7:00pm, 8:15pm and 9:00pm, and a Silent Disco running throughout the night on Level 2.

On the rooftop you will find Beat Kitchen Records, Manfredo Lament, Yasmin Sadiki and Hey Love. 

Art

Art takes center stage with immersive works that challenge and delight:

  • Sammi by Sammi – an interactive piece that watches you as you watch it
  • The Darkness Between the Stars by Serwah Attafuah* – a vivid Afrofuturist dreamscape
  • I Wish I Could Tell You So Much More, But I Can’t by Audrey Newton – a surrealist sculpture featuring resin-preserved roses
  • Nocturnal Rhythms of Parramatta by James Brown* – a digital artwork capturing the city’s heartbeat after dark

*Nocturnal Rhythms of Parramatta and The Darkness Between the Stars were made possible through the support of Sharp LED, LCD and Projector Technology.

11. Erby Place

Erby Place brings the action with PWA Wrestling in the ring. Matches take place at 5:30pm - 6:30pm, 6:45pm - 7:45pm and 8pm - 9pm. 

Food vendors include Ola Lola, Ash’s Nachos and Karu Distillery.

12. Latin Quarter

The Latin Quarter at Bar30 (PARKROYAL Parramatta) will be serving up South American-style open fire BBQ from Smoking Gringos. 

The site will also host a Baile Funk Night, bringing high-energy Brazilian beats to Lanes.

13. Riverside Theatres & Lennox Bridge

Inside the theatre, experience the world-premiere of Daytime Deewane at 7pm. Presented by the National Theatre of Parramatta, this high-energy, heart-filled ride through 1990s London rave culture blends spoken word, Bhangra beats and bold storytelling. Book here.
