Park Rangers: The Power of Pollinators
Spring is the perfect time to experience pollinators in action, with Wisteria Gardens bursting into colour.
Join our experienced educators in Parramatta Park to discover the fascinating role pollinators play in keeping our park buzzing with life! From tiny insects to flying foxes (some of the biggest bats in the world), you’ll explore how these incredible creatures help plants grow and flowers bloom.
In this 2-hour program, children can:
- Hunt for bugs and record your discoveries through nature journaling
- Take a guided walk to see spring flowers in bloom and spot flying foxes in their treetop home
- Get crafty by building your own pollinator or insect hotel using natural materials
This hands-on workshop is perfect for curious kids who love plants, animals and exploring in nature.
This program is suitable for children aged 5 – 12 years.
