"Parramatta's a great place to do business because it's a perfect meeting point for Sydney,” says Store Manager Tom Houlahan. "Whether you're coming from the Eastern suburbs or the Blue Mountains you're always within an hour of Parramatta.”

“We're in a great location being close to the Parramatta train station, the Westfield and Parramatta Square developments. It's a city that is very well connected by public transport.”

“Parramatta is a great cross-section of modern Australia and modern Sydney. A lot of different cultures come together here and it's in the geographical centre of Sydney. It really represents the diverse spread of the region.”

“We have a wide range of customers. Western Sydney locals are our main customers – from the Inner West out to the Mountains – we're the only indie record store that services Greater Western Sydney. But we also have lots of Monday to Friday office workers who come in their lunchbreaks or after work.”

“Parramatta has always been quite a welcoming, unpretentious city. You've got a combination of the big business, corporate aspects of the CBD with quaint, old-school charm with the city retaining a lot of its old arcades and malls like the one that we're in (Queensland Arcade).”

“Parramatta is growing year-on-year, with new businesses coming in and the city becoming more accessible with light rail and Metro coming in soon. It feels like in the coming years there's only going to be more and more people coming to Parramatta to work, to shop, to hang out. It's only going to grow from here.”
