Parramatta Lanes is the City’s multi-sensory, multi-location food, music and art festival and it’s back to its best this year. To be held over four nights from 11 to 14 October, this year we are celebrating the festival's 10-year anniversary.
The COVID pandemic disrupted the popular event last year and the year before, so this year the free community event is back in force. Each night will feature different activities in different locations, so you could see something new every night, all within a five-minute walk.
Parramatta Lanes is a true reflection of the City’s multicultural community, bringing together food, music and art experiences, influenced by its people from around the globe.
Award-winning Parramatta Lanes
Last year, Parramatta Lanes was awarded the Best Cultural, Arts or Music Event at the Australian Event Awards for Council’s 2020 hybrid event, which combined home-delivered meals with online live-streamed entertainment.
Council’s 2021 Parramatta Lanes was awarded the RH Dougherty Award for Innovation in Special Events, recognising its creative approach to adapting the event post lockdown. Last year’s event welcomed people back to the city with live music and comedy shows at local bars and restaurants, as well as a ‘COVID-friendly’ interactive augmented reality art trail that led visitors on a unique journey through the CBD streets and showcased the creative work of some of Australia’s top emerging artists.
