- Senthan Sanchayan
“Stuck In Between Media" explores the rich, complex stories, cultures, and identities that exist between two worlds. For this latest project, artist Senthan Sanchayan brought together 75 South Asian Australians—of different ages, backgrounds, and experiences—for a Pulse Check with the community. Through thought-provoking conversations, the project delves into questions that spark reflection, ignite meaningful dialogue, and strengthen connections to cultural roots. With the aim of breaking barriers and fostering deeper understanding, it creates a space for self-discovery and collective growth. This work invites audiences to explore who they are, where they come from, and the diverse identities that shape their shared experience.

About Diwali
Diwali, also known as Deepavali, is a cherished festival across South Asian cultures symbolising the victory of good over evil and light over darkness. Spanning five days, this “Festival of Lights” is a time for reflection, joy, and community connection.
At the City of Parramatta Council, we believe in fostering a sense of belonging and inclusivity. Our Diwali celebrations are designed to enhance community cohesion, encourage intercultural dialogue, and strengthen the bonds that connect us all.
