Created by Clockfire Theatre Company and produced by Rare Earth Creative, RUINS is a visually stunning and deeply personal work that explores migration, identity and cultural inheritance through an Arab and Lebanese diaspora lens.

Following Amelia Alissa's journey to Lebanon after the death of her father, RUINS weaves together personal and intergenerational stories to examine what we carry across borders, generations and time. Through ensemble physical theatre, live music and evocative visual storytelling, the work brings to life questions of belonging, family and the enduring connections between people and place.

Heartland Festival 2026 presents RUINS as a celebration of diverse voices and bold contemporary theatre-making. Offering a rarely seen perspective on Australian stages, this moving and thought-provoking production creates space for stories of displacement, resilience and connection while exploring universal experiences of loss, culture and home.
