The Planets

The Metropolitan Orchestra (TMO) return to Riverside Theatres in Parramatta for a special event.

This sublime family concert opens with Copland’s iconic Fanfare for the Common Man, a stirring tribute to strength and resilience followed by Britten’s Young Person’s Guide to the Orchestra which showcases the virtuosity of each instrument in a dazzling display of orchestral colour.

After the intermission, the orchestra led by Chief Conductor Sarah-Grace Williams will take the audience on an incredible intergalactic journey through the seven movements of Gustav Holst’s incredible “The Planets”. This wonderful family concert event will appeal to all music lovers from seasoned orchestral followers through to those new to a live orchestra.
