Parramatta & District Historical Society Monthly Meeting, Guest Speaker - Richard de Grijs

Parramatta & District Historical Society is holding it’s next meeting on Monday 17 March. The speaker is Professor Richard de Grijs and the topic is titled “From the First Fleet to the Harbour Bridge – Sydney’s Astronomical Beginnings” which will cover the history of William Dawes who arrived in Sydney on the First Fleet in 1788 and established the first astronomical observatory in the colony. 
The event is free and will be held at 7.30 pm at Burnside Gardens Community Centre, 3 Blackwood Place Oatlands.
