Laugh Cry

LaughCry is a comedy and poetry night that platforms and uplifts queer performers.

It is a celebration of big emotions and catharsis in a turbulent time where the queer community doesn’t just need to feel together, but feel together.

We prioritise local talent, aiming to give voice to BIPOC performers, and a mix of emerging and established artists. It is a warm and welcoming night that creates a third space for the LGBT+ community and our allies.

Hosted by poet Ria Adele and comedian/improviser Jordana Wegman, the variety show features four acts (two poets and two comedians) who will take our audience on an emotional rollercoaster from stand-up comedy and spoken word storytelling. Our tag line: you may laugh, you may cry, we guarantee you’ll feel something!
