Join Dr Amelie Vanderstock (Amelie Ecology) in an intensive masterclass on habitat havens for native bees. In this workshop, we will explore the diversity and ecology of native bees in Parramatta and how to conserve them through planting and habitat creation. Participants will be supported with tools to identify native bees to use in citizen science audits. We will also cover the construction, placement and maintenance of 'bee hotels', and what to plant for native bees and will investigate the bee hotels at Parramatta's bushcare site "Habitat Havens".

This workshop will be hands-on and best suited to people 12+ of all knowledge/experience that are interested in conserving native bees in our urban environment. Any child under 18 who attends must attend in the presence of an adult.  Please note that there are no toilet facilities on site. Bring a drink bottle, closed shoes and a hat.
