CoLAB: Dream Gardens Workshop Series

Design your dream garden with photogeometry and AR with artist Si Yi Shen!

The Dream Gardens workshop series invites participants to explore the exciting possibilities that technology development offers for collectively imagining, designing, and building our world in real-time. This workshop aims to bring together the community and users of CoLAB and PHIVE to collaboratively create a virtual garden with care using photogeometry and AR.

Experience software including Blender and Meta Spark AR Studio to build your dream garden.

We are offering three full-day workshops on October 1st, 15th, and 22nd.

Schedule:
11am-1pm: Design and create elements of your dream garden using drawings, photos, cutouts, and photogeometry scans.
1pm-2pm: Lunch break
2pm-4pm: Assemble these elements in the digital realm and acquire fundamental skills in creating Augmented Reality (AR) experiences.

Open to participants 12+ with limited space for 12 participants per workshop.

Materials gathered during these workshops will be incorporated into an ongoing art project by artist Si Yi Shen.

Please note: participants will need either Facebook or Instagram downloaded and logged in on their phone for the full experience of AR effects (not required but recommended).
