Get your first taste of Lanes

Arrive hungry and start exploring. Follow the flavour to Bianco for spaghetti tossed inside a 24 month aged cheese wheel, or seek out Firepop’s O.G. lamb and Butter CUBE wagyu, cooked over coals.

For something you can watch between bites, head to Concrete Plaza in Parramatta Square. The amphitheatre becomes a pop-up skatepark, with ramps, half pipes and a program of skate action across the festival. Check the session details for demonstrations and opportunities to join in.

Prefer to start with a beat? Pho The Girls takes over Centenary Square, with masheen and YANH恩 playing from 5pm to 7pm. Drop in, find your rhythm and let the night begin.

Slow down and soak up the sounds

Slip into Civic Arcade for Sound Bath: A Portal Into the Liminal, from 6pm to 6.30pm. Wednesday’s session features Santo and Szem, offering a moment to slow down and listen before your next stop.

More curious about what happens when artists collaborate and experiment together? Modular Conversations runs from 6.30pm to 7pm, bringing live synth exploration into the arcade.

Choose the experience that catches your ear, then follow it somewhere new.

All eyes will be on Macquarie Street as Low N Slow Brisbane’s SOUND OFF rolls through the city. Catch the procession at 5:15pm as it heads down the street before arriving in style at Leigh Memorial Car Park.

A blue SUV and white van display oversized speaker arrays at a brightly lit nighttime sound-system gathering, with people nearby and colorful lights creating an energetic mood.

Make it a jazz night

For an alternative early evening stop, head to Lanes Jazz Bar at Riverside Live at PHIVE, presented by the University of Sydney. The Leo Marland Quartet plays from 6.15pm to 7pm, with original compositions moving between rowdy, restless textures and softer melodic moments.

Want to settle in for more? The Sydney Conservatorium Jazz Orchestra follows from 7.30pm to 8.30pm, showcasing talent from the University’s Sydney Conservatorium of Music. Make this your main event if you’re in the mood for a night of jazz.

A large orchestra ensemble in black formal clothing poses with brass, woodwind, and percussion instruments on concert hall steps beneath a towering pipe organ; the mood is formal and celebratory.

Fit in an art adventure

Use the gap before your headline set to explore the Eat Street Car Park takeover. Play a round at The Great Putty Pop-Up: Art Mini Golf, where Rosie Deacon and Jen Denzin swap pristine greens for six colourful, wonderfully unexpected holes of mini golf.

Nearby, the Art Car Boot Sale turns vehicles into spaces for art, design and discovery. These experiences are scheduled from 5pm to 10pm, so there’s room to stop by before or after your favourite act.

Choose your final soundtrack

Keep the night moving at Bodega Lane, where Cult Shotta plays from 9.20pm to 10pm. The Western Sydney duo brings a sound that blends rap, trap, drill and techno, into a sound with plenty of personality.

Or swap the laneway for Lanes Jazz Bar, where the Festival Jam Session is scheduled from 9pm to 10pm.
