Hop on board for a powerful new work that explores culture, identity and belonging through the lens of Western Sydney.
Presented as part of National Theatre of Parramatta's True West program, The Western Line is a new play in development by Satiu Studios that takes audiences on a journey across Sydney's rail network and through generations of memory, migration and storytelling.
Following a Samoan narrator's train ride across the city, this evocative solo work blends ancestral navigation with contemporary life, exploring what it means to carry culture across postcodes, communities and generations. Filled with reflection, humour and heart, The Western Line is a moving meditation on diaspora, identity and the search for home.
As part of the creative development process, audiences are invited to experience an evening of storytelling, music and soul food while gaining an early insight into this exciting new work from Western Sydney creatives.
Featuring acclaimed performers Nick Afoa (The Lion King, Rent, Miss Saigon) and Nasia Lasalosi (X-Factor), The Western Line showcases compelling voices and stories that celebrate the richness and diversity of Australia's cultural landscape.
