PHIVE Presents Term 4: Foundations of Drawing

In this drawing series, Todd will take participants through a range of exercises to increase their observational and image making skills. Over 8 weeks, students will explore in detail the elements and principals of drawing including composition, tone, mark-making, depth and form. Todds teaching style is informative and playful with various drawing games, demonstrations and exercises to train, shape and challenge emerging artists. This series is perfect for beginners or intermediate artists looking to refine their technical skills.
All materials are provided (though you are welcome to bring your own).

Date: Thursdays 22nd October - 10th December 2026
Time: 6pm - 7:30pm
Location: Dharug Country, Makers Space 1, Level 3, PHIVE 5 Parramatta Square
Cost: $120 workshop fee covers all 8 classes. Individual classes are not available.

About Todd:
Todd Fuller is an award-winning artist specialising in drawing, animation and storytelling. Trained at the National Art School, he has had his works screened and exhibited internationally. Todd is known for his hand-drawn animations that explore love and loss, alongside ideas of place, identity and community. These often-narrative works are grounded in lived experience and developed through engagement with different communities, sites and histories, including speculative storytelling that reconsiders overlooked or fragmented narratives. His practice has been shaped through residencies at Bundanon Trust, Hill End, Grafton Regional Art Gallery, the Cité Internationale des Arts in Paris, the British School at Rome, and the NG Creative Residency in Provence.
