PHIVE SHP: Spike the Echidna by Little Wing Puppets (Ages 4-10)

Follow a baby echidna, through the world of shadow puppetry, on a journey to find out where he belongs

Spike is the story of an egg, stolen by a greedy rat. A young girls finds it. She is playing alone because she is bullied by other children. The baby echidna has no spikes yet and she doesn't know what kind of creature he is. She tried to help but accidently puts him in dangerous situations. Will they discover their "spikes" and stand up to the bullies? Come on a lively journey through shadow puppetry to find out.

Told with shadow theatre, Spike is an interactive experience for the audience, with lively original music by Mal Webb. It is entertaining and fun, as well as a catalyst for a discussion about difference and belonging.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

• This workshop is suitable for children aged 4 - 10 years - Council reserves the right to remove any bookings that are made outside of this age group
• This workshop is FREE however registrations are essential and places are limited
• For children aged 5 years and under: Parents and Guardians are required to stay with children for the duration of the program
• For children aged 6 to 10 years: Parents and Guardians are welcome to stay or may sign in their children, but must remain onsite within PHIVE and be contactable for the duration of the program
• 1 free adult per child ticket purchased only. Additional adults must purchase a ticket to be admitted.
• Please arrive on time for the timeslot you have booked. Participants who miss their allocated time may not have an opportunity to join at another time. Participants who arrive more than 10 minutes after the start time may have their place forfeited.
• If you can no longer attend, please cancel your ticket or contact PHIVEtickets@cityofparramatta.nsw.gov.au for assistance - Continuous "No shows" may lose their spaces in other programs booked
