Parramatta Square is easily accessible by public transport, with Parramatta Station just a short walk away.

Convenient parking is available at the Parramatta Square Car Park and Parramatta Station Car Park (Wentworth Street).

What is the FIFA World Cup 2026™?

The FIFA World Cup 2026™ is an international football (soccer) tournament held every four years. The tournament brings together 48 national teams from around the world to compete for the World Cup trophy. 

This year the event will take place from June 11 to July 19, 2026 and is jointly hosted across 16 cities in three countries: Canada, Mexico, and the United States. Parramatta will host a live site for the 3 Australian group stage matches in Parramatta Square. 

What games will be played at the live site?

Only the Socceroos three FIFA World Cup 2026™ group stage matches will be screened at the Parramatta Square live site. 

Is there a cost to join?

Entry is free for all ages with no tickets required. 

Seating is offered on a first‑come, first‑served basis and is not guaranteed once capacity is reached. 

Is there seating at the Parramatta Square?

Yes. Limited seating is available at the Parramatta Square Amphitheatre which has an approximate capacity of 800 people.  

Seating is offered on a first‑come, first‑served basis and is not guaranteed once capacity is reached. Visitors are welcome to stand or move around the live site as directed by event staff. 

What can I to bring?

Visitors are welcome to bring picnic rugs and blankets to sit on while enjoying the live site at Parramatta Square. 

We also encourage you to wear the colours of the teams you're supporting. 

What not to bring?

Please do not bring glass bottles or glass containers. Additionally, please don't bring folding chairs or any items that may obstruct access or viewing areas.  

How do I get there?

Parramatta Square is easily accessible by public transport, including trains (Parramatta Station), light rail (Parramatta Square) and buses. Visitors are encouraged to use public transport so please plan your trip ahead and allow extra travel time, particularly for the early‑morning game.

Where can I park?

Public parking is available in nearby car parks – Parramatta Square and Parramatta Station (Wentworth Street). 

Parking availability is limited and cannot be guaranteed. Public transport is strongly recommended.

Can I bring alcohol?

No. Alcohol is strictly prohibited at the live site. 

Is there free drinking water?

Yes. Free drinking water will be available at Parramatta Square. Visitors are encouraged to bring a refillable water bottle. 

Are there public toilets nearby?

Yes. Public toilets will be available at PHIVE from 9am to 5pm.  

Centenary Square public toilets will be available, including extended hours for the early‑morning (5:00am) game.

Accessible toilet facilities will be provided. 

Will there be first aid?

Yes. First aid services will be available onsite during live site operating hours for each game. 

What happens in the event of bad weather?

The live broadcast will still proceed in wet weather, so bring your raincoat! However we will need to cease the activities if this occurs.
