PHIVE SHP: Surreal Racing - Mario Kart Live (Ages 5-12)

Hit the track and race your friends, its battle time!

This experience combines the exhilarating fun of remote control cars with video gaming. Battle your friends in real time on one of the greatest arcade racing games of all time - Mario Kart. Groups of 4 will race RC karts in AR (augmented reality) using the Nintendo Swtich console. In each timeslot, participants will have the opportunity to race for 10 minutes and cheer on their friends and watch the karts zip around the track for the remainder of the time.

Engaging in racing games such as Mario Kart can have multiple cerebral benefits for people of all ages, such as improving attention span, spatial intelligence abilities and the speed of making high-stress, time-sensitive decisions.

Time: 10am - 12pm (30 minute timeslots)

Cost: Free but registration required

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

• This workshop is suitable for children aged 5 - 12 years - Council reserves the right to remove any bookings that are made outside of this age group
• This workshop is FREE however registrations are essential and places are limited
• For children aged 5 years: Parents and Guardians are required to stay with children for the duration of the program
• For children aged 6 to 12 years: Parents and Guardians are welcome to stay or may sign in their children, but must remain onsite within PHIVE and be contactable for the duration of the program
• Please arrive on time for the timeslot you have booked. Participants who miss their allocated time may not have an opportunity to join at another time. Participants who arrive more than 10 minutes after the start time may have their place forfeited.
• If you can no longer attend, please cancel your ticket or contact PHIVEtickets@cityofparramatta.nsw.gov.au for assistance - Continuous "No shows" may lose their spaces in other programs booked
