Family Movie Nights will take place across five local parks: Sue Savage Reserve, Northmead Reserve, Upjohn Park, FS Garside Park and West Epping Park.
The event is on Friday 10, Saturday 11, Sunday 12, Friday 17 and Saturday 18 April 2026 at a different park each night. Arrive early from 4pm for kids’ activities, entertainment and food stalls. Movie screenings start once last light hits.
Yes, it is free to attend all five events. The free movie screenings are non-ticketed and there will be various free drop-in kids’ activities, workshops, sport games and live performances on the night. Food stalls will also be selling some food and drinks available for purchase.
There will be a variety of food stalls offering pizza, coffee and popcorn. We also recommend bringing your own picnic food and snacks if you know what you like!
Yes, there will be drinking water via the park bubblers or drinking water stations.
Be sure to bring your picnic blanket, picnic food and drinking water. Since this is an outdoor event, we also recommend bringing mosquito repellent and blankets/jackets as it could get chilly at night. If you wish to bring camping chairs, they must be set up at the back of the viewing area.
No bookings are required.
All beanbags, grass spots and pre‑movie activities are available on a first‑come, first‑served basis. There will be plenty of space, but we recommend arriving early to secure the best spot for the movie.
If you need First Aid, please speak to any roaming security staff, event crew or First Aid personnel. They’ll be patrolling throughout the event site and can assist you straight away.
Yes. Dogs are welcome at the event as long as they remain on a leash and follow standard park rules. Please note that dogs (other than service dogs) are not permitted inside workshop spaces.
The event sites are accessible although parks are predominately grass so please be wary of your surroundings. There will be accessible toilets and parking at each site. There will also be captions for all movies.

There is limited parking in and around the parks. We recommend to walk, use public transport or carpool.
