About this EOI
This is your opportunity to help shape the creative heart of Parramatta’s Lunar New Year celebrations from 2027-2029.
We’re inviting artists and collectives to submit an Expression of Interest for an exciting three-year commission, creating an original artwork each year inspired by the relevant zodiac animal and rich cultural traditions. Your work will form a connected creative series and take centre stage across the event’s marketing materials. Share your vision with us and be part of bringing Lunar New Year to life in Parramatta.
Artists and collectives connected to Lunar New Year cultures and traditions are invited to apply, with emerging creatives and those from Western Sydney especially encouraged.

Please note: Submission of an Expression of Interest does not guarantee selection for the paid concept development phase. City of Parramatta will review all submissions and shortlist three artists/collectives to develop a concept. Only the shortlisted artists/collectives selected to participate in the concept phase will receive the $1,000 concept fee.
