What does Western Sydney Startup Hub offer and provide startups and entrepreneurs?
Set up over 12 years ago now, and it was really focused on how we support entrepreneurs, innovators and changemakers, because there are big social, environmental, economic challenges and we think entrepreneurs are the ones who are going to tackle those big challenges. So, we've done that through a range of spaces across the country, programs and really building out ecosystems of support for entrepreneurs. The Western Sydney Startup Hub provides space for entrepreneurs, but, more importantly, it provides that community and access to networks that people need to start up and grow their ideas.
Why do you believe Parramatta is a hub of innovation?
It is really driven down into the community. It's having a community but a really diverse community of people that are willing to start up their ideas. Here at the Western Sydney Startup Hub we are here to support them on that journey with both physical space, programs, events and ways to connect them in with the broader community, both across New South Wales, but also nationally and globally.
