Australia Day

This Australia Day, honour our incredible 65,000+ year heritage and delve into our First Nations culture with the workshops and talks on offer throughout the morning.

Did you know that from 1952 Parramatta Park hosted Grand Prix car racing for three years? The historic vehicle display will celebrate this fascinating slice of our City’s history.

Running from 6am – 12pm, this is perfect opportunity to spend a morning in the park with your family and enjoy the free workshops, activities and sporting games on offer.

The event is held in the beautiful Parramatta Park, a wonderful place to sit and relax, get active, or explore our history.

Lord Mayor Donna Davis will announce the 2023 Citizen of the year award recipients and host a special Citizenship Ceremony.

Hot Air Balloon rides are ticketed, on-sale date is to be announced.
