Weekend in Wistaria
Spring arrives in full colour at Parramatta Park's much-loved Wistaria Gardens.
Pack a picnic, gather your favourite people and spend the weekend surrounded by cascading wisteria, cherry blossoms, flowering fruit trees and vibrant garden displays. Across two days, you'll discover live music, family-friendly activities, nature experiences, community stalls and plenty of food and drink among one of Parramatta's most picturesque spring settings.
What's on
- Live music: Settle in on the lawn and enjoy performances from Highly ReStrung and roaming brass trio Soul Street Brigade.
- Roving entertainment: Keep an eye out for Moving Pictures' flower-covered tandem bike as it winds its way through the gardens.
- Family fun: From Butterfly & Fairy storytime to nature-inspired art and hands-on activities, there's plenty for curious young minds to explore. Unwind in the chill zone, featuring music created with living plants.
- Spring blooms: Stroll beneath draping wisteria and discover colourful seasonal displays inspired by this year's peace and harmony planting theme.
- Community stalls: Meet local community and environmental groups, browse unique products and learn more about the people helping nature thrive across the region.
- Food and drink: Pick up something delicious from a range of food vendors or spread out a blanket and enjoy your own picnic among the blooms.
- Regency Promenade & Fair: On Sunday, take a short stroll to Old Government House and step into the elegance of the Regency Promenade & Fair.
