Epping provides plenty of space to enjoy the sunshine, exercise and enjoy the sportsf ields.

Check out some of our favourite green spaces in Epping, and enjoy the great outdoors. 

Dundas Park

Yates Avenue, Dundas Valley

A large park located in Dundas Valley, Dundas Park has many offerings for its users. Residents can enjoy a district-level playspace with water play facilities, slide, swings, and climbing equipment as well as barbecue and picnic facilities. There are also public toilets onsite which are open from 6:00am to 8:00pm.

There are multiple sports fields and other facilities include outdoor exercise equipment, netball court, cricket nets, and a bookable tennis court. As well as this there is also a circuit path suitable for those morning strolls.

West Epping Park 

Mountain Street, Epping

West Epping Park is a prominent park, providing a broad range of uses to residents. Featuring synthetic sports fields which enable use in many weather conditions as well as cricket nets, a basketball court, bookable tennis courts, as well as an assortment of equipment items such as quarter pipe, grind rail, ramps and fun box for the skaters, West Epping Park is great for the fitness or activity enthusiasts.

As well as this, the park features a district-level playspace, with shaded area for the littler kids. There is barbecue and picnic facilities, table tennis tables, and recent upgrades have also provided this park with a fully-fenced dog off-leash area.

The main parking area is accessed of Dent Street and Mountain Street.

Boronia Park

37 Bridge Street, Epping

Boronia Park is a large Park located in Epping. Boasting a sports field and recently upgraded pavilion as well as ample open space and seating throughout, Boronia Park

offers much to its residents. Featuring a district play space with nature play, slides, climbing equipment, seesaw and novelty equipment, Boronia Park also has table tennis tables, barbecues, and picnic areas. There are publicly-accessible toilets which are open from 6:00am to 8:00pm.

For those intrigued by their surroundings, the park is also home to an assortment of vegetation, ranging from gum trees and native plantings to Camellias and annuals. Boronia Park is located only a short walk from Epping station.

Somerville Park

675 Blaxland Road, Eastwood

Boasting fields used for touch football, rugby union, and cricket, Somerville Park ticks many boxes.

It has a childcare facility onsite, and also features a barbecue and picnic area, cricket nets, and playground featuring swings, slide, and climbing equipment. If the fields are occupied, there are some open space areas, particularly at the end of Pearl Avenue, for children to play. There is not currently a circuit path, however, walking along the outskirts of the fields is an adequate substitute for those with moderate mobility levels.

Funded by the Western Sydney Infrastructure Grant (WSIG), future park improvements aim to yield a new multipurpose court, upgraded playground, new circuit path, and upgraded sports field lighting. To find out more, please see the relevant Participate Parramatta webpage here.

Kilpack Park (major upgrade occurring in 2025/26)

Darwin Street, Carlingford

Located between Darwin Road, Ross Street, and Carlingford Road, Carlingford, and only a short walk from Carlingford Court, Kilpack park provides nearby residents with some green space as well as a playground.

Funded by the Western Sydney Infrastructure Grant (WSIG), residents can also look forward to a major park upgrade due to begin in the 2025/2026 financial year. The play equipment will be replaced, and new fitness equipment will be installed.
