The Curious Edward Smith Hall - Forgotten Champion of the Underdog

Edward Smith Hall was a political reformer, newspaper editor and banker in colonial NSW and was honoured as the father of Australian civil liberties.  Yet he was referred to as a "revolutionary scribbler" and a "dangerous agitator."    The talk by Ken Smith OAM will outline why this occurred and why his name fell into obscurity.
