Parramatta Asks the Expert - Archaeology

Curious about Australian archaeology? Join us for this free and engaging online webinar to delve into the role of the archaeologist.

Parramatta has played a central role in Australian history. From its beginnings as the traditional lands of the Baramadagal people of the Dharug nation, which it will always remain, it has evolved to become a central focus of colonial life, a place of industry, a safe haven for waves of migrants and now a vibrant city. Archaeology has played a significant role in bringing the history and heritage of Parramatta out of the ground and into the light.

In this engaging webinar Jillian Comber, a professional archaeologist and heritage consultant who has excavated and reported on many significant sites in Parramatta, discusses the role of the archaeologist and presents some of the amazing heritage that has come “from the ground up” in Parramatta. Participants will be able to ask Jillian questions about the role of an archaeologist and the heritage unearthed in Parramatta.

Ask the expert.  Registration is essential.
