Planning ahead

You’re invited to BYO picnic. There will be a limited offering of food vendors at the event, such as ice cream and snacks. We recommend bringing a picnic basket and/or Esky with food and drinks, plus foldable chairs or a picnic rug, refillable water bottles and weather protection to make a comfortable space for yourself on the grass. Cooking equipment, such as camping gas burners, are not permitted on site.

Parking is limited at most sites, with the closest parking spaces reserved for those with Accessible Parking Permits (APP). Accessible parking (with a displayed APP) will be available at each of the New Year's Eve locations:

  • Binalong Park – car park entrance at 197 Binalong Road, Old Toongabbie
  • Max Ruddock Reserve - Winston Hills
  • Dundas Park – one way lane behind 38 Yates Ave, Dundas Valley
  • Doyle Ground – parking spaces opposite 114 Macarthur Street, North Parramatta
  • George Kendall Riverside Park – car park entrance opposite 32 Broadoaks Street, Ermington

There will be a photographer and videographer capturing the event throughout the evening. If patrons choose not to be photographed, please ask our friendly event staff for a red wristband. If you have any questions regarding New Year’s Eve AT Parramatta, contact us at

For over 60,000 years the Parramatta area has been home of the Burramattagal people, a clan of the Dharug, who settled along the upper reaches of the Parramatta River. City of Parramatta respectfully recognises the Traditional Owners of the land and waters of Parramatta, the Dharug people, and pay our respects to the Elders past, present and emerging. We extend our respect to all First Nationals people visiting these sites.
