Amanda Parer

The Lost installation artwork features large botanicals to celebrate nature whilst inspiring fantasy, reminding the visitor of Alice in her Wonderland, where she has been shrunk down to a tiny size and wanders around the gigantic plants around her.

Parer Studio’s artwork explores the human relationship with the natural world. The monumental flora celebrated in this artwork are either extinct or endangered botanical species from around the globe which are delicately coloured, illuminated, and vibrant highlighting the beauty and wonder that has been or that is soon to be Lost.

Otto and Anina, Samuel Kim and Lawrence Liang

A pair of enigmatic and cute inflatable zen cat mascots split down the middle: one part past, one part future, creating an uncanny twilight zone of spirituality. Otto and Anina mirror each other from afar, forming a central space of play and celebration that invites reflection and presence. Developed specifically for Parramatta Lanes, this piece is an exciting addition to the art program.

Found Objects, Shaun Parker and Company

Found Objects is an epic, outdoor, family, dance-theatre work utilising everyday objects and five exceptional dance and physical theatre artists. Choreographed by Shaun Parker and set to a stunning orchestral score by composer Nick Wales, the work creates a highly physical, extraordinary urban world incorporating high-octane contemporary dance, acrobatics, street dance, parkour and seemingly ordinary objects.

The Pyramid

Optus will unveil a 2.4 metre high and 6 metre in length triangular prism in Parramatta Lanes decorated by renowned street artists Donne.

Donne’s team of young women from Australia and abroad have explored the concept of community, connectivity and the power of - Yes.

The Pyramid will be a perfect spot to stop for a photograph with family and friends or a selfie.

It will be a key feature of Parramatta Lanes in 2024.

Kailin Tamone was the founder of Donne and the creator of The Pyramid. She is a Sydney based mural artist, specialising in realism but dips into a variety of styles in order to bring an idea to life. She has spent the past few years designing and hand-painting restaurants, public spaces, cafes, brand launches, hair salons, breweries, offices, bedrooms and venetian style hallways. Her passion is discovering and nurturing new artists and using art to brighten up every city and small town she visits.

The Path, Fei Gao

The Path is a dynamic performance work by Fei Gao that brings to life migration journeys of Parramatta's richly diverse community. Set against the vibrant backdrop of Parramatta Lanes, this performance will deeply resonate with festivalgoers, particularly those from migrant backgrounds.

Each of the five performers in The Path are adorned in striking armor, created during intimate interviews that informed each of the individual costume designs. These costumes, rendered in vivid hues of Blue, Gold, Orange, Purple, and Black, weave personal and poetic stories of migration into their very fabric. Through collaborative workshops, the performers have crafted unique movements that echo their individual journeys.

Staged on the iconic Eat Street Car Park rooftop, The Path come together in a powerful moment where the five characters’ separate paths converge, symbolising a shared transformation. As they traverse the rooftop, they enact a compelling search for belonging and connection. This search resolves in a celebratory dance—a tribute to the bonds and communities that migrants forge to support one another in the face of adversity. This finale encapsulates a process of transformation, resilience, and symbolises the enduring human quest for connection.
