Granville Street Party FAQs


What happens if it rains?  

Light/medium rain will not cause cancellation of the event. As public safety is our priority, adverse weather forecasts of lightning storms, torrential rain and or strong winds may result in event cancellation.  

Getting There

How should I travel to the event?  

We highly recommend guests walk if walking distance is reasonable. Alternatively, public transport or driving access directions having been included on this page. There will be road closures around the event site – Good Street, between Bridge Street and Cowper Street, will be closed to traffic from 12 noon until 12 midnight with local traffic diversions in place during this time.  

Where can I park?  

The Cowper Street Carpark (48 Cowper St, Granville) is a short two-minute walk from Good Street. This carpark offers free, unlimited parking from 12pm onwards on event day. Alternatively, there is limited street parking around the site.

Is there public transport?  

Granville Train Station is a short two-minute walk from Good Street and is frequented by trains on the T1 (North Shore & Western Line) and T2 (Airport, Inner West & South Line) as well as buses via the Granville Bus Interchange.


Can I sign up for the kids workshops before arriving?  

No, all workshops are ‘drop-in’ style workshops and will be a first in first served basis. We recommend arriving early to avoid missing out. 

Food & Drink

Is there food on site?

Yes, there will be a small offering of food trucks on site. We also recommend that you visit the local businesses along Good Street and enjoy some of the fantastic local offerings!

Is there a bar on site?

No, there will be no alcohol sales on site and the space is deemed an alcohol space over the event duration.


What do I do if I have lost my child? 

Please speak with event staff or security within the event site. 

Do you have wristbands/ ID for children? 

Child wristbands are available at the event entrances for parents and guardians to write their mobile number. This assists event staff and security in reuniting lost children with their parent or guardian.  

Can I bring my dog? 

We recommend leaving your furry family members at home if possible due to the crowd expected at the site.  


Is the event site accessible?  

Yes, the street accommodates to accessibility requirements. 

Are there accessible toilets onsite? 

Yes, accessible toilets are located at each site.
