It is time to gather all your e-waste that is collecting dust around your home and bring them to the e-waste drop-off day for recycling and safe disposal. E-waste is anything with a plug, battery or cord that is unwanted. This includes old phones, computers, and household appliances as well as power tools and electronic toys.

E-waste does not belong in your landfill or recycling bin. Because e-waste contains some resources we can reuse, as well as some hazardous materials, it needs to be processed separately.

Examples of e-waste you could bring for recycling include:

  • computers (including drives), monitors and peripherals
  • printers and cartridges
  • fax machines
  • scanners
  • TVs, VCRs and DVD players
  • projectors
  • networking equipment
  • mobile phones
  • tablets
  • batteries
  • cables
  • electronic games and toys
  • stereos
  • cameras
  • MP3 players
  • CDs/DVDs
  • small domestic appliances
