South Quarter Parramatta (Auto Alley precinct)

South Quarter Parramatta (also known as the ‘Auto Alley’ precinct), located at the well-known former car yard site in Church Street, Parramatta, has been rezoned and will be transformed into an $800 million mixed-use project as part of the $8-billion plus Parramatta CBD transformation.  Auto Alley’s history is more than a century old with the first car sales yard opening in 1907. Over the years and especially since the 1960s it has been known as the place in Sydney to buy a car.  The South Quarter Parramatta development will cover 1.4 hectares and provide:

  • 750 apartments
  • An international hotel
  • Commercial and retail floor space of up to 40,000 square metres

The new precinct is conveniently located 260 metres from Westfield Parramatta and 450 metres from the Parramatta Transport Interchange. It’s expected to open in 2022.
